During Writing Workshop, your child will learn the craft by reading and noticing what authors do as writers. The students will also observe and notice during modeled writing. The class will work together to create shared writing experiences, and work independently to write their own individual pieces. We will focus on brainstorming and expanding ideas, organizing our thoughts, and adding conventions (capitals and periods). Kindergarteners will engage in the experience of writing about their opinions, creating stories and sharing information . During fourth quarter, students will participate in shared and individual research projects.
