My name is Jane Johnson and I am so happy to be your child’s teacher! I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Preschool/Kindergarten Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from North Central College. This is my 32nd year teaching Kindergarten in District 204 and my 13th year at Gwendolyn Brooks.
My husband Steve and I have two children. Kate was married to her husband Charlie in December 2022. She is a 6th grade science teacher in Champaign. Ben is a 2021 graduate of Illinois State. He is a 5th grade teacher in Lansing, IL.
I love snuggles with our 3 year old black lab, Izzy. In my free time I like to draw, watch movies and listen to music (and sing along!). I enjoy photography and crafting. I am a huge Wisconsin sports fan--I especially love cheering for the Packers!!!
