General Rules
Students are enter the Library from rear entrance (Sports Ground side) only with Membership Cards.
Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the Library.
Smoking, eating, sleeping and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the library. I – Card will be confiscated and a fine of Rs. 500/- will be imposed for violation of this rule.
Members are requested to see the Library Notice Board for Notifications and Regulations.
Use of cell-phones is also not allowed in the library. Cell-phones must be switch-Off or keep on Silence mode.
Library Documents taken out of the shelves must be left on the table or handover to the library staff on the Counters. Replacing the books on shelves is not encouraged as it may get misplaced and misplaced book is like a lost book.
Library readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages, or otherwise damage the library documents.
Newspapers, magazines, and journals must be read only in the library at the entrance and front reading halls and should not be taken to any other reading areas.
No library document can be taken out of the library without permission. Unauthorized removal of anything belonging to the library will be treated as theft and dealt with accordingly.
Issued books and bags should be deposited at the Property Counter, but at your own risk while using the library. Money, umbrellas, Dresses, Cell Phones, and other costly items should not be kept at the Property Counter. The library staff and the College/Library authorities will not be responsible for the loss, if any.
Issued books are to be returned on time; these can't be re-issued.
Books can be reserved at the circulation counter.
Members are expected to leave the library 10 minutes before its scheduled time of closing.
Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of library membership and may be debarred from availing the library facilities.
