Library Membership
1. Students can become members of the Library after getting their Identity Cards/Fee-receipt indicating Roll Number from the College Office/Teacher in Charge.
2. Register themselves online through Library Web-OPAC using the 'Sign-Up' option for new members
or
by scanning the QR Code of WEB-OPAC
3. Fill all the mandatory * field. (i.e. Name, Father's Name, Email, Address etc.)
4. I C number should be your Admission form Number/ Roll Number.
5. Upload Passport size photo (size 20 KB to 50 KB).
Renewal of Library Membership
All student and faculty members are required to renew their library cards at the beginning of each semester. No books can be issued without following the renewal procedure.
Issue of Duplicate Library Card
In case the Membership Card is lost, Duplicate Card will be issued against a payment of Rs. 100/-. Library Users will be held responsible for any loss which the Library may suffer through loss or misuse of their Membership Card.
Books Lending (Issue) Service
Entitlements
Students : 5 books must return within next 14 days.
Students (Book-Bank-Service) : 8 text-books must return by the end of the semester.
Permanent Faculty : 20 books must return by the end of the semester.
Temp./Ad-hoc Faculty : 10 books must return within one month.
Guest Faculty : 02 books must return within one month.
Retire - Staff : 04 books must return within one month
Non-academic Staff : 10 books must return within one month
1. Library Books from the Stack Room are issued to the Students for 14 days only. They have to show their membership card at the Circulation Counter.
2. Before getting any book issued Library users/students should satisfy themselves that its pages are intact, if any page is missing, the Counter/Library staff should be informed and asked to sign to confirm the missing pages, failing which the students/Libary users will be held responsible for the missing pages and asked to replace the book.
Books Return Service
Students must return the issued books on or before the date last stamped (or within 15 days of the date of issue of the books) and other users must return the books within the due date.
Fine Collection on Late returning of Library Books
Students will have to pay a fine if they fail to return the Library Books on time. The fine will be collected through the Conscience - Box, kept at the Circulation Counter. Students are advised to sign in the Fine-Register after inserting the fine into the box kept on the circulation counter only in presence of Counter staff. If, students signature not found in the Fine - Register, the fine may be charged again.
FINE FOR LATE RETURN
For any book late up to 2 days : No - Fine
For any book late up to 5 days : Rs. 10/-
For any book late up to 10 days : Rs. 20/-
For any book late up to 15 days : Rs. 30/-
For any book late more than 15 days : Rs. 30/- + Rs. 10/- per day and Card will be Blocked.
For reactivation of the Library Card, Students will have to contact the Librarian or the Library Office.
Issue of No-Due/Clearance Certificate
1. All the students have to obtain a Clearance Certificate from the Library before taking their University Roll Numbers/Admit Card or leaving the College.
2. Failed students are required to return their Library Membership Cards within one month from the date of declaration of the result, failing which they will not be issued the Clearance in future.
