Yes! We have many instruments available for rent. We do however encourage purchasing your own instrument. Please contact us before purchasing so we can make recommendations on brands.

All of our band classes are classes in the school day with no rehearsals after school. Some ensembles such as the marching band have outside of school rehearsals, however these mainly do not conflict with sports, school events, etc. We do not regularly rehearse after school.

Yes! The majority of our students are involved in MANY other school activities.

All band placements are based off the skill level of the student. We place students in the band we think they will succeed in the most. 

Yes! This depends on the class, but it is very possible to be in more than 1 band. Please contact us if this is something you are interested in, and we can give you more information on how to make this possible!

Yes, however the amount depends on the band and the instrument. Students who own their own instrument will not need to pay a rental fee.

Yes! We highly encourage students to take private lessons, and can help you find a private lesson teacher. We even have some private lesson teachers who teach after school at 'Iolani. Please contact us if you are interested in private lessons.
