The topic we are studying this year is Food, Cities, and Our Future. In every unit, we have created a digital project related to the topic and we are proud to share them with you. Thanks for checking them out and giving us your feedback.

In this unit, we had to create a video introducing ourselves and our city Mataró to the Global Scholars' peers from the rest of Spain, Argentina, the United States, Singapore, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Kazakhstan.

In Unit 2, we learned how culture influences people’s perspectives on food. We researched and discussed foods in our Catalan culture, and mapped our local food environment to see what foods were available locally. We learned a lot about the food environments of the rest of the participant schools. Finally, we thought about how communities could improve access to nutritious foods for everyone.

In Unit 3 we researched our city’s food environment to learn about food security issues and some solutions and innovations. We learned about local agriculture, interviewed experts in food security, and produce a news report to inform about important food issues and the future of food in Mataró.

In this unit, we researched a local product traded globally and its climate change impact. Additionally, we compared the sustainability of local and global products, and finally, we conducted a survey in our high school about local consumption issues and solutions and presented our findings in an infographic.
