Reflection
When I used Djuced to mix songs on a mixer plate, I learned how much control a DJ actually has over the sound. At first, it was kind of confusing because there were so many buttons, but once I got the hang of it, it started to make sense. I learned how to use the sync button to match the beats of two songs so they flowed together smoothly. The hotkeys helped me scratch and add little effects that made the mix sound cooler. It was fun hearing two songs blend perfectly and realizing that I was the one making it happen.
I also learned how to control the volume and filters to make transitions sound clean. Turning the filter knob changed the way the sound came through, it could make it fade out softly or sound more dramatic. I practiced moving between songs and scratching at the right time to make the mix more interesting. After about eight minutes, I started to really feel the rhythm and understood how DJs use timing and effects to keep people engaged. Overall, using Djuced taught me how much skill goes into mixing music and how creative it can be.
