3. INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH RESULTS
3.1 Spanish international results
Types of plants:
Lavandula angustifolia
Rosmarinus
Thymus Compacta
Lavandula dentata
Types of substratum:
Gramox
Gramox (75%) with perlite (25%)
Baster
Baster (80%) with vermiculite (20%)
Results activity 1
After 10 weeks 31 out of 64 studied samples have been damaged.
First conclusions:
Regarding substratum, there was a higher number of damaged plants which were grown using Baster with Vermiculite since it retains a lot of water and consequently, the substratum cannot oxygenate. The other substratum which also had several incidents was Gramox.
Regarding the type of plants, all Thymus Compacta died and all of them had to be replaced. It is the most delicate species under these conditions (heat and humidity). On the other hand, Rosmarinus is the most resistant in these conditions.
Activity 2:
CONTROL SAMPLE (WITHOUT TREATMENT)
DIRECT OBSERVATION OUTSIDE
Results Activity 2
After 16 weeks of observation:
Regarding the type of plants, all groups share this characteristic:
The most delicate is Lavandula Dentata and the most resistant is Thymus Compacta.
Regarding the type of substratum, the results vary:
Lavandula Dentata is less deteriorated when it grows in a substratum which retains humidity such as baster (even better than with baster with vermiculite).
Rosmarinus nad Lavandula Angustifolia have a better appearance when the substratum is Gramox.
Therefore, the type of substratum does not seem to affect Thymus Compacta because it always shows a good appearance independently of the substratum used.
Finally, 100% of plants have survived well under these conditions. The best conditions for each plant is marked in the following chart with a tick.
Under these conditions, 100% of plants have survived well. There is a tick which are the best conditions for each of them:

3.2 Greek international results
Activity 1:
Types of plants:
Lavandula angustifolia
Rosmarinus
Thymus Compacta
Salvia officinalis
Types of substratum:
Hummus soil
Perlite soil
Peat soil
Sea plant soil
Results activity 1
10 weeks later, only 13 samples have been damage out of the 48 studied.
First conclusions:
In relation to substratum, we cannot draw any evidence, it is a null conclusion. All subtractums have a similar behavior in relation to plant survival.
In relation to the type of plants, we have had to renovate more than half of Rosmarinus plants and a quarter of Sage plants. The most delicate is Rosmarinus in all types of substratum. On the other hand all Thyme and Lavandula plants have survived, and none died.
Activity 2:
Results activity 2
After 16 weeks of observation:
The result depends on the type of plant and the type of substratum. All lavandula survive in all types of substratrum.
Sage lives better in sea plant soil (it gives them salts) and hummus.
Thymus compacta generally dies,
although some have survived in sea plant soil.
Rosmarinus has few chances of survival, and if it does so, it is in a sea plant soil.
Lets visualize the results depending on platns and substratum. If they are good there is a tick, if they are not there is a cross and there is nothing if there is nothing.

3.3 Comparison of Spanish and Greek results
In the following presentation you are going to find the final results obtained after comparing the results got from the Spanish and Greek research. Although experiments have been submitted to similar conditions results have not been so.
