OUTDOOR GARDEN
Students designed and planted typical Mediterranean plants in front of the school to make the building more beautiful and attractive and also to make student be aware of typical plants of the regions and of the biodiversity of our region.
Students selected and planted different species of fruit trees and drought-resistant plants. In addition, an intelligent irrigation system was installed to favour the irrigation management and, therefore, to save water (dosing the necessary water and interrupting the irrigation when rain is detected). On the other hand, in order to keep the soil moist, the students covered these front gardens with pine bark.
During the tasks students learned how to design and build a garden (materials, watering, types of plants...). They enjoyed it and had lots of fun. Here you have pictures of the process and its outcome.
