A man walks into his workplace. He is a doctor and he has a tough day ahead. Some new patients have arrived since yesterday and they have an unforeseen acute respiratory syndrome. He has been seeing this new syndrome since December on multiple patients but nobody wants to pay attention. Then suddenly, the virus explodes and thousands in Wuhan catch it. He posts a rant about the government’s management of the crisis in Weibo, a social media site similar to Facebook but in China. Next day, he’s nowhere to be seen. His account banned, and his life taken. Nobody ever misses him. His name is Li Wenliang. I wish this was fiction.

THE TWO MEN

Two men in a prison, one was new when he arrived, he was new in being in a cell, while the other, veteran but kind, greets him calmly, with such kindness that he even told him a story so as not to get bored. The story is like this: Once a man in prison is warned that he will be attacked by surprise, for him logically I think that he could not be attacked by surprise because it is no longer a surprise to know. The days went by and the carefree man kept in mind that he would be safe from knowing the attack, but ... he ends up being attacked and killed. Basically, he would be attacked by surprise, and thinking that he would be safe to know that it would be by surprise, let his guard down and if he is attacked by surprise. The man, trying to assimilate the confusing story, the man says one last sentence. "That man was my previous cellmate, he was betrayed by his own logic".
