Q. When do you accept applications?
　 募集はいつ行いますか？
A. We accept applications twice a year, once in the spring(April/May) and once in the autumn(September/October).
　 春開始(4月・5月頃)と秋開始(9月・10月頃)の年に2回参加者募集を行っています。

Q. Can I start as soon as I apply?
　 申し込んだらすぐに始められますか？
A. You can start as soon as you are matched. We match participants after we receive applications, so you may have to wait.
　 マッチングができ次第始められます。応募を受け次第順次マッチングを行っていますので、お待ちいただく場合もあります。

Q. Can I choose my partner?
　 パートナーは選べますか？
A. You cannot choose your partner, including which university student you would like to partner with.
　 どの大学の学生とパートナーになるかを含め、パートナーは選べません。

Q. Can I match with more than one partner?
　 二人以上のパートナーと活動することはできますか？
A. You cannot match more than one partner during one activity period.
　 同一の活動期間中に二名以上のパートナーとマッチすることはできません。

Q. The application deadline has passed. Can I still apply?
　 応募締め切り日を過ぎてしまいました。まだ申し込みできますか？
A. You can still apply, but please understand that it will take time to match you with a partner.
　 申し込みはできますが、マッチングにお時間がかかりますのでご了承ください。

Q. The application period has ended without matching. Do I need to re-apply? What should I do if I want to cancel my application?
　 マッチングすることなく期間が終了してしまいました。再度申し込みの必要はありますか？また応募を取りやめたい場合はどうすればいいですか？
A. If you are unfortunately not matched during the program period, you will not be automatically put on the waiting list for the next term. Instead, you will be asked if you would like to be matched for the next term. If you wish to be matched, you will be given priority over new applicants, and if you do not, you will not be matched for the next period.
　 残念ながらマッチできなかった場合は、自動的に次回にまわるわけではなく、その時点でWaiting Listに残っている学生の皆さん全員に次回以降のマッチング希望を聞きます。希望があれば、新規応募者よりも優先してマッチングしますし、もし希望がなければ次回にマッチングされることはありません。

Q. Can I apply for Language Buddies if I am participating in a summer study abroad program?
　 夏休みの間に留学プログラムに参加しますが、Language Buddiesに応募することは可能ですか？
A. Yes, you can. However, you should discuss with your partner how you will continue the activity during the summer.
　 可能です。ただし、留学期間中の活動をどうするかは、パートナーとよく話し合ってください。

Q. I have submitted my application, but have not received a matching-confirmation email.
　 応募をしましたが、マッチング完了のメールを受け取っていません。
A. Your partner has not been decided yet. We will contact you as soon as we have matched you.
　 まだパートナーが見つかっていない状態です。マッチングができ次第ご連絡いたします。

Q. I have received a matching-confirmation e-mail. When can I start the activity?
　 マッチング完了のメールを受け取りました。いつから活動を始めればよいのでしょうか？
A. Please contact your partner and start the activity once you receive the matching-confirmation e-mail.
　 マッチング完了のメールを受け取ったら、パートナーに連絡を取って活動を始めてください。

Q. I sent an email to my partner, but it didn't reach him/her.
　 パートナーにメールを送りましたが、宛先不明で届きませんでした。
A. Please contact our staff.
　 スタッフにご連絡ください。

Q. I sent an email to my partner but have not received a response.
　 パートナーにメールを送りましたが、返事が来ません。
A. Please contact our staff.
　 スタッフにご連絡ください。

Q. Can I change my partner?
　 パートナーを変更することはできますか?
A. Basically, you cannot change your partner. If you are struggling with something such as time difference or language levels, please try to resolve the issue through communication first! If your partner cannot continue participating in the program for some reasons, please contact our staff and we may consider finding a new partner.
　 基本的には、パートナーの変更はできません。時間やレベルなど、何か合わないと感じることがあればまずはコミュニケーションで解決を図りましょう！もし、何らかの理由でパートナーが活動できなくなってしまった場合はスタッフにご連絡ください。新たなパートナーについて検討します。

Q. I attend a university which does not have a partnership with ICU. Can I participate in the program?
　 ICUと協定を結んでいない大学の学生です。このプログラムに参加できますか?
A.  Unfortunately, this program is for students attending ICU or its partner universities only.
　 残念ながら、参加できるのはICU、またはICUの協定校の学生のみに限られます。

Q. What language tables are there?
　 何語のテーブルがありますか？
A. We have Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, French, Spain, and Russian tables.

　 日本語、英語、韓国語、中国語、フランス語、スペイン語、ロシア語などがあります。

Q. Can I bring lunch?
　 昼食を持ち込んでよいですか？
A. Yes, of course.
　 はい、もちろん構いません。

Q. How can I be a language host?
　 ホストになるにはどうしたらよいですか？
A. If you are interested in being a language host, please contact us for more information. Non-native speakers are also welcome.
　 会話ホストになることに興味がある方は下記連絡先までお知らせ下さい。ネイティブでなくても構いません。

Q. I would like to learn another language that is not held at Tables. Can I have a new language added to Tables?
　 Tablesでは開催されていない他の言語の学習がしたいです。Tablesに新たな言語を追加してもらうことはできますか？
A. We will consider your request. Please contact our staff.
