ICU Counseling Center offers individual counseling. When appropriate, couple, group, or family sessions can also be conducted. Some students visit us only for a couple of sessions, and others continue on a regular basis. A session is about 40-minute long.
Consultations are offered for students, and family members of students, as well as academic and administrative staff at the university, who have concerns about ICU students.
University psychiatrist offers psychiatric consultation to all ICU students.
When necessary and appropriate, students will be directed to other departments within ICU or outside resources, such as medical providers, that better satisfy their needs.
In the case of mental health emergencies, we intervene to secure safety of an individual and coordinate the appropriate level of care in cooperation with proper on-and-off campus resources.
ICU Counseling Center offers various lectures and workshops on mental health topics throughout the academic year.
