Faculty and Administrative Staff

Student counseling has always been an important part of ICU student services. Often we serve as role models and mentors for students' to establish their own identity and offer life planning consult within our close-knit community. It is not uncommon that you, as a teaching or administrative staff member, may encounter a situation with a struggling student. Sometimes, a student may be able to sort out their anxiety or struggles by receiving your individual attention, advice, or consultation. Other times, it may be helpful to direct your students to appropriate on-campus resources such as our counseling center. Besides helping our students directly, we also provide consultation for our staff members if they have concerns regarding a specific student. Our goal is to empower our staff in helping our students effectively.

Students' private information is kept confidential at the counseling center. However, with a student’s consent to release information, ongoing collaborative support with faculty or administrative staff is provided throughout the counseling process.

It is our desire to make our services more accessible to all ICU members and to promote the well-being of our students through preventing and treating mental health difficulties. Please feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions regarding our students.
