Note: To protect the integrity of our clinical cohorts, all scholars must enter at Phase I. This ensures a unified medical vocabulary and social etiquette across the Academy.
Phase I: The Medical Foundationalist
Phase I: The Medical Foundationalist
Grade Range: Grades 6 – Mid 7
Focus: The Language and Discipline of Medicine.
Core Skills: Mastery of vital signs (manual BP, pulse ox, heart rate), microscopic navigation, and sterile field maintenance.
Immersion Milestone: The White Coat Ceremony. Scholars receive their short-coats and take their first "Oath of Perseverance."
Phase II: The Clinical Practitioner
Phase II: The Clinical Practitioner
Grade Range: Mid 7 – Grade 8
Focus: The Mechanics of Intervention.
Core Skills: Suture techniques (simple interrupted and continuous), wound care management, and advanced cardiac auscultation (identifying heart murmurs).
Immersion Milestone: Suture Certification. A rigorous practical exam requiring scholars to close a "surgical site" on synthetic tissue.
Phase III: The Medical Researcher

Grade Range: (GRADE 9 – MID 10)
Focus: The Science of Inquiry.
Core Skills: Phlebotomy simulation, EKG interpretation, and the design of a Year-One Research Thesis focused on community health.
Immersion Milestone: The Thesis Proposal. Scholars defend their research topics before a panel of "Indigo Coaches" and Founders.
Phase IV: The Integrative Specialist
Phase IV: The Integrative Specialist
Grade Range: (MID 10 – GRADE 11)
Focus: The Synergy of Modalities.
Core Skills: Botanical pharmacology, clinical nutrition, and the study of traditional "Village" medicine alongside modern pharmaceutical interventions.
Immersion Milestone: The Apothecary Project. Designing a dual-modality treatment plan for a complex, simulated chronic patient.
Phase V: The Medical Fellow
Phase V: The Medical Fellow
Grade Range: Grades 12
Focus: Leadership, Residency, and Legacy.
Core Skills: Advanced surgical assisting, emergency trauma simulation (Triage), and peer-mentorship of Phase I scholars.
Immersion Milestone: The Grand Rounds Defense. The final capstone presentation where "Fellows" prove they are ready to exit the pipeline and enter the global medical stage.
Friday Academy & Field Rotations
The Friday Academy is a high-intensity clinical extension.
Clinical Labs: Hands-on workshops led by Indigo Coach.
Field Extensions: Off-site rotations to hospital labs, botanical centers, and professional surgical centers.
Coach Mentorship: Direct interaction with the Indigo Coach faculty for real-world career modeling.
