All Region Orchestras

The Indiana ASTA All-Region Honor Orchestra is an event for middle/junior high school students with at least one year of playing experience in an orchestra program. An orchestra program is a school program (public or private) as well as any youth orchestra program run by an independent organization. With rehearsals and the performance the event runs from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Two levels of ensembles are included. The Vivace level is for students comfortable playing grade 2 to grade 3 music and the Allegro level for students comfortable playing grade 1 to 2 music. There is a student fee paid by each participating school, student or private studio. All-Region honor orchestra is NOT for beginning string students and is NOT for students with no ensemble playing experience.

All students interested in being a member of the All Region Honors Orchestras must complete the student application for their site and return to their directors by the application deadline.

Directors must enter the student's information via the google form link on their corresponding site. This link will also be sent via membership e-mail. Junior high directors should use the map, also located below, to determine which region your school falls into.  Please use your discretion on which site when it comes to travel time. The google form will ask the same questions as the Student Application form, however, this will allow directors more time to collect and to get the information to the correct site host in a very efficient matter.

2023 All Region Registration - Directors will enter students registrations in the google sheet. Please refer to the Student Placement Rubric to for guidance as to which ensemble will best suit each student.

New this year: South All-Region and High School All-Region!
