Offers trainings about, access to, and support for childcare professionals & childcare options for families in Multnomah County. "Our mission is to strengthen our community by supporting early childhood professionals, providing leadership in the field and by promoting access to high quality child care experiences for all children and families inclusive of every race, ethnicity, language, gender, age, ability or income level.
ERDC is a state subsidy to help families afford childcare. ERDC will pay a maximum of $1415 each month to providers for each eligible child in the family. Subsidy amounts depend on the child's age, caregiver employment, provider type, and location within the state. Apply before the end of February for increased subsidy amounts! The Community Childcare Initiative offers Portland families and childcare providers financial assistance for childcare. Eligible families pay no more than 8% of their monthly gross income for childcare. The program is funded by the Portland Children's Levy.
Neighborhood House offers many childcare & early childhood opportunities, including health and nutrition education, Head Start programs both in-center and in-home, referrals to community resources, and support from family advocates.
Baby Promise offers free, full-day quality care and education for eligible children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. Baby Promise is a state funded program designed to help families find and maintain high-quality infant and toddler care.
