Design and maintain the IT systems architecture to ensure it aligns with business goals. Focuses on the structure of the agency’s technology environment and integration between different systems.

Oversee the acquisition of IT hardware, software, and services. Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure compliance with contracts.

Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications used by the agency, including custom solutions and third-party software.

Ensure the proper collection, storage, and analysis of data. Manage databases and provide business intelligence, reporting, and data insights.

Develop and maintain plans to recover IT systems and data in the event of a disaster or business interruption, ensuring minimal downtime

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the agency’s local and wide-area networks, ensuring connectivity and reliability for all personnel.

Oversee the delivery of IT services, ensure efficient incident management, change management, service desk operations 

Manage the physical and virtual IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers, to support the agency's IT operations.

Automate and streamline the development and deployment of IT infrastructure and applications using tools and methodologies like DevOps

Provide support for the agency's personnel, including help desk operations, user training, and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues.

Ensures compliance with government standards for online presence

Designs, develops and maintains agency’s government official websites and assists in management of subsidiary websites

Ensures website content is accurate, updated and citizen-focused

Manages digital communication platforms including Zoom, Gov Mail and Social Media and provide technical assistance

Ensures compliance to agency policies on requirements, personnel administration and office operations and goals 

Oversee the budgeting process for IT expenditures, including planning and forecasting for hardware, software, and IT staff costs

Manages compensation and benefits provided to employees

Monitors employee performance and addresses skills and competency deficits

Manages procurement of goods/services needed by the office, Manages equipment, supplies and records inventory

Serves as communication center of office

Safeguards office digital assets including websites, communication platforms and internal/external  systems

Conducts regular security audits and implements measures to prevent cyber threats

Implements and monitors data privacy policies to protect sensitive information

Ensures compliance with government cybersecurity regulations and data privacy laws

Responds to and mitigates cybersecurity incidents

Manage internal and external communication about IT initiatives, including user awareness campaigns, updates, and announcements regarding IT services or changes.
