Congratulations!
Our graduate student, Bianca Xu, co-hosted an outreach event with the IGB core facility on April 28th. During the event, she designed and led an interactive workshop for middle-high school students aimed at introducing them to the field of Food Sciences, and taught the students about prebiotic foods. She also demonstrated how to use the wide-field microscope and guided the students to observe the prebiotic food samples they made under it. We commend Bianca for her dedication and commitment to scientific outreach and wish her continued success in her studies and future endeavors.
Our graduate students, Abrory and Fatma, have successfully completed the holy month of Ramadan! Three of our graduate students - Abrory Pramana (left), Siyuan Liang (mid), and Bianca Xu (right), recently had the opportunity to attend the 2023 DiscoverBMB conference hosted by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) at Seattle, WA.
The conference provided the students with valuable networking opportunities, access to cutting-edge research, and the chance to engage with their peers in the scientific community. During the conference, our students presented their most recent research project posters. They also had the opportunity to meet and interact with leading researchers and professionals in their field, which provided them with valuable insights and perspectives. Overall, the conference proved to be a valuable and enriching experience for the graduate students, helping to further their education and professional development in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.
