Course content
Basics of Continuum damage model and GTN damage for ductile materials (Lecture, 30 minutes)
Cohesive zones, Traction separation law, bi-linear CZ modelling (Lecture, 1 hour)
Basic structure of UMAT and VUMAT subroutines and their applications. (Lecture, 1 hour)
Elastic and plastic calculations, damage calculation for GTN model
Modelling using CZ elements for a fracture behavior in ductile material in 2D, pre and post processing (Hands-on modeling on ABAQUS, 1 hour)
Linking subroutines and usual errors and debugging and post processing for GTN damage in VUMAT subroutine. (Hands on modeling on ABAQUS, 1 hour)
