This time around, 'Agomoni' will be focusing on the culture of Bangla bands and rock. As is the case with the Durga Puja, the Bangla Band and Bengali songs are both important sources of pride and cultural heritage for Bengalis.
Beginning with the legendary 'Moheener Ghoraguli' and continuing all the way through 'Chandrabindoo,' these Bengali bands have not been forgotten even to this day.
In 1975, the Bengali band known as "Moheener Ghoraguli" sparked a revolution in the annals of Bengali band history, and its spirit is still carried on by bands such as "Chandrabindoo" "Bhoomi," "Cactus," "Crosswindz," "Parash Pathar," "Fossils," "Lakkhichara," "Dohar," "Fakira," and many others.
Not only do the songs of these bands evoke feelings of nostalgia, but the bands themselves also brought a revolting voice, satire, insurrection, contemporary society, folk essence, the city Kolkata, the tales of rural life's, feelings of loneliness, devotional touch, sorrow, and happiness and the most significant one "Prem"(love).
