Welcome!
This page describes some of the policies and procedures for 4th Grade Religion. Our 4th grade students have three Religion classes per week. We also participate in Mass weekly as a school. 4th grade Religion is a wonderful year for students to discover more of their relationship with God, explore new forms of prayer, and learn about some foundational topics such as the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes.

Homework
Students are given time to copy homework assignments into their planners and are encouraged to reach out to the teacher if they have questions about assignments and grades. Homework for 4th Grade Religion is also posted in the "Religion" Google Classroom. To view:
Go to classroom.google.com and log in with your (parents: your child's) school Google account information. Students should share their Google account password with their parents/guardians.
Once in, look for the "Religion" tile. Upcoming assignments due are listed on the main tile, and more details on each assignment can be seen by clicking on the tile and going to the "Classwork" tab. This includes due dates.
Homework is usually counted as practice, and therefore is not usually graded based on accuracy, but rather on completion. However, students are encouraged to aim for mastery.
Homework assignments that are submitted 1 day late are worth 50% of available points, and after that they are not turned in for points, but should still be completed for learning.
Absentee Make-Up Work
Students who are absent should see their homeroom teacher upon their return to school to get their Religion make-up work. They may also ask a classmate what notes or handouts were given, or what textbook pages to read.
Make-up work should be completed for the next day. After extended absences, students should check in with the Religion teacher to set a more extended schedule for completing make-up work.
