In Torre del Palau, teachers base their materials on culture from the language at hand. 2nd of ESO students, in the English class,  focus on the US and Canada. In this section, you will find creations about Thanksgiving, Halloween, Black history month, President's Day, Native Americans and much more

2nd of ESO students are well aware of the traditions in American Families. See the project on Thanksgiving and the breakout on the women voyaging in the Mayflower.

A Canadian poem. 2nd of ESO students have recited it, and they have made their own videos.

The life of a slave. Students have discovered the life of slaves in the rural America before the American Civil War. We discover different African American heroes, men and women, such as Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges. They have also become journalists and dived into the lives of ex-slaves thanks to the Narratives of the Untold.

A presidential campaign after watching Hamilton. What does a leader look like? After the Campaign we wonder what good leaders should have and why are we going to become good 21st C leaders for our communities.

American suffragettes. The women in America fighting for a vote. After reading about them and their claims, we play this breakout!

Local Commitment, "zero-mile" leadership. After meeting the American leaders, let's see who leads our city. Our mayor sent some messages to our students, who decided to create different online material with tips to become a better leader.

Internet safer day: Fake news. Our 2nd of BTX students give some tips to our 2nd of ESO learners to have a safer experience in the web. The latter create posters to raise awareness about the topic.

Tom Sawyer. After reading a classic, students need to create a summary out of a knolling image they create with their main ideas.

Native Americans. Students read authentic Native American legends and transforms them into stories for kindergarten learners. In order to finish the projcet we play a breakout where the SDGs and the role of women are put into value.
