Ins Torre del Palau project site.

In Torre del Palau, teachers base their materials on culture from the language at hand. However, we do use a book to lead "Batxillerat" courses to help them on their final goal, "Selectivitat." Despite being a much more "formal" teaching, "batxillerat" courses also have their place to have fun with culture and literature. Here you have some examples.

We hope you like it.

OTHER HIDDEN FIGURES PROJECT

After watching the film "Hidden Figures" to celebrate  the International  Women's Day, 1st Batxillerat students have  been doing a group project. They've gathered some information about some female "Hidden" figure of their choice , have designed a poster and prepared an oral exposition about them. Here are some of the posters they've designed. All of them will be exposed on our school walls for a few days so that the rest of students in Torre del Palau can read them and learn about those very important but mostly unknown female figures.

THE READING PROJECT

Our 1st Batxillerato students must choose  one of the  books  proposed.  They will be able to choose  among 5 different titles depending on their level of English.  Later, they'll work in groups writing lists of vocabulary and also  writing two or three questions of comprehension  for each chapter of the book.  Finally, their own questions and vocabulary will  be revised and will be used in the test they will finally take at the end of the term.

Scan this QR code with your phone, and you will have it too.

The second of BTX students created a book tube on some texts they had to read during the 1st Term. Do you want to see the results?

During the 2nd Term they created a tour guide from the city of London. Here you have the links to soundcloud.
