IEC Husaini School

MISSION:

The IEC Husaini School (IHS) exists to provide the unique Islamic educational and social needs of students in a critical stage of their lives. In partnership with parents, and in addition to the parent’s own Islamic education and upbringing of their student; IHS will further cultivate students’ excellence in the knowledge and understanding of Islam, the teachings and life of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (as), and in maintaining an Islamic lifestyle through their example.

GOALS:

Establish high academic and moral standards in order to achieve Islamic excellence and integrity.

Partner with parents to serve as an additional resource, in assisting them in their student’s Islamic education and development of an Islamic life-style through the example of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (as).

Develop students with excellent Islamic knowledge in order to practice, defend, and educate others about true Islam and the teachings and life of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (as).

Instill confidence and pride in students for Islam and the Ahl-ul-Bayt (as) and their history, their contributions to society, and for their own personal practice of an Islamic life-style.

Motivate students to use the teachings of Islam, the Ahl-ul-Bayt (as), and their life examples, to be active and work towards positive changes in the communities around them.

ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS:

Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (as) Department of Theology

• Acquire and practice virtue, morality and manners (Akhlaq)

• Analyze and study Islamic doctrines and beliefs (Aqaed)

• Explore and understand matters in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh)

• Comprehend and learn Islamic history in its true form (Tareekh)

Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (as) Department of Quranic Studies

• Learn and practice the proper recitation of the Holy Quran (KG – 6th)

• Translate and comprehend the Surahs of the Holy Quran (7th – 12th)

• Examine and study the Holy Quran in order to use it in reference, in matters of discussion and healthy debate

Lady Fatima Zehra (sa) Department of Language

• Learn the basics of how to speak, read, and write mother languages

• Develop the ability to fluently understand and communicate effectively, in mother languages

• Initiate efforts to translate Islamic content from mother languages to English
