option blocks and deadlines
the following is an outline of the plan to take place during the option process.
Tuesday 11th January – 6pm: Parental Support Meeting – Careers & Options
Mrs Kendall will be giving a presentation and workshop to give support when making career choices.
Thursday 13th January – 6pm: Parental Support Meeting – Idsall School Options
Ms Campbell will be giving a presentation on the Options process and ‘launching’ the website and downloadable resources to help you make your choice of which subjects to study. This website will contain all the documentation and information regarding the options process to ensure that you and your child can make informed decisions.
Monday 17th January – Friday 21st January
Subject leaders will supplement this information with subjects presentations to students in class and students will be provided with an options booklet.
Thursday 27th January – 4pm – 7pm: Year 9 Parents Evening
This will use the online Parents Evening System where you will be able to book appointments with your child’s subject teacher and then log in for a face-to-face meeting with them.
Final options choices will be made using SIMS. Your child will receive an individual log-in and you can complete this process together to ensure that the correct choices are made for your child.
