This website will tell you about all of the courses that are on offer. Read it carefully. It has been written to help you to select the courses that are right for you. The government have made some subjects compulsory, but there are still decisions to be made about the type and level of course that you follow. This is where your teachers can help and advise you. Where you have choices, choose subjects that you like and think that you will be good at. Don’t be guided just by what your friends are doing. At Idsall School we have high ambitions for our students to go on to study post-16 courses and onward to top universities, apprenticeships and careers.

Some of you may not be sure yet what you want to do as a career. This is not unusual, but do remember that careers advisors are there to help you.

Finally, whatever options you choose you will need to work hard and meet deadlines. You will need to organise yourself and be ready to hand in your work on time. Never leave it to the last minute - you could spoil your chances entirely if things go wrong.
