How are you?
We are all adjusting to learning from our homes. It is amazing to see how we are all working together to keep each other healthy and active during these times.
Music is what has kept humans entertained for thousands of years. Let’s entertain each other!
I will be sharing videos where we can explore the history of instruments and learn about their place of origin. I will also add exercises to keep up our hand to hand coordination and be ready to someday have a massive drum circle!
Here is a link that we’ve used in class to practice sight reading music notes. You do not need to have drum sticks or even a drum. You can use your hands to clap, or play on top of a surface, like a chair, or a table. If you have an old bucket, even better.
Remember that “if you can say it, you can play it!”

I highly recommend music videos by my friend Andres (we have the same name). These videos encourage movement and dance, at the same time students listen and practice phrases in Spanish.
