STEM WORKSHOPS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS GOAL 11, GOAL 14, GOAL 15

The activity was planned for 5 days with the participation of 3 teachers, 6 students each from the school partners, and 3 education staff from the partner who is an NGO, hosted by Aydınlıkevler Primary School in Mersin city of Turkey.

Workshops will be held in various natural areas:

DAY 1: MEETING AND ICE-BREAKING ACTIVITIES

* Meeting the institutions,

* Promoting the educational programs of the schools,

* Presentation of the education systems of the partner institutions' countries,

* Visiting the host institution,

* Pre-test work,

* Creating pre-awareness about the importance of STEM skills for girls by watching ISDI short films on the importance of STEM skills in women.

Day 2 - Sustainable Development Goal 11 STEM WORKSHOPS for Sustainable Cities and Communities:

Making a presentation by ISDI to understand the target content of the Target 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities

and determining the problem by brainstorming through visual materials

The solution to the problem of extinction STEM workshops:

* Smart city designs with Arduino,

* Smart farming STEM workshop

Day 3 Sustainable Development Goal 14 Protection of Aquatic Life and Terrestrial Life

* The effect of preserving life in water and soil on the sustainability of the planet is discussed. The problem is determined and STEM workshops are designed for the problem.

Day 4 STEM workshop for biodiversity conservation Goal 15

* Problems are determined by brainstorming on the endangered creatures.

* Life Cycle of the King Butterfly, one of the endangered creatures, is held.

* Understands the importance of biodiversity for our planet and produces solutions to protect it

* Recycling fashion design STEM study

* Reverse engineering gains awareness that it can protect biodiversity by recycling with STEM efficiency.

Day 5: The post-test and evaluation of the activity is done. The resulting products are displayed. It is held on the day of culture.
