What are How-Tos?
How-To Sessions are an important part of the ServICE conference, as they truly provide a chance for students to inspire, connect, and empower their peers. How-Tos provide a chance for students to share the process of starting a successful activity, event, or initiative. The main focus of a How-To is to show other students how they can start their own initiatives and to teach them what their own experience was like.
Each How-To session will last approximately 30 minutes, and can be presented by either individuals or groups. There will be (three rounds?) of How-Tos. The sessions will be given in a classroom setting to an audience of about 20 people. The presenter(s) will have access to digital projectors, sound systems, and other resources will likely be available as well, as per request. Students who would like to give a How-To at the conference will need to submit an application via the Registration Form which can be found under General Information.
