General Information

7th annual servICE hosted by NIST

This year, International Community School will be hosting the 9th annual Bangkok ServICE conference from Friday November 15th to Sunday November 17th. ServICE is a for-students and by-students event that provides opportunities to inspire, connect, and empower one another in order to bring positive change to their communities. As in previous years, the main focus of the conference is to constitute and develop practical ideas that will better our society. To do this, ServICE focuses on the 17 global issues, as outlined by the United Nations. The weekend is full of opportunities for students to build partnerships and relationships with people who are passionate about giving back to their communities. The conference not only involves students but also accomplished adults who share their experiences and expertise.

Keynote speakers are given the opportunity to inspire and share their own stories while organizations from around Thailand are also invited to educate and connect students with the work that their organization does.

SPARK Sessions and the NGO/Community Fair provide students with a variety of opportunities to learn and become engaged in issues that affect their communities.

Student-led How-To Sessions give student leaders the ability to share what they have been doing at their own schools.

Burst Your Bubble service and learning trips take students out into their communities in order to inspire them to give back.

Unconferenced Sessions build upon the ideas of the entire weekend. They are held in order to encourage discussion between students and allow them to create step-by-step action plans for what needs to happen after the conference is over.

ICS is honored to host the 9th annual ServICE conference and hopes to continue the great interactions and experiences of previous years. For more information, please check out the corresponding pages on our site!
