ACTIVATE is a leadership and missions development initiative designed to equip young people, engage them in practical ministry, and connect them with experienced mentors who can help them discover and fulfill their God-given calling.
We believe young people are not merely the future of the Church—they are active participants in God's mission today. ACTIVATE seeks to move them beyond learning about ministry to actually living, serving, and leading in ministry.
The program is built around three essential components: Training, Practical Evangelism, and Mentorship.
Participants will receive biblical and practical training designed to help them understand the Gospel, develop effective evangelism skills, understand missions, and grow in leadership and ministry.
The goal is to provide more than knowledge—to develop confidence, competence, character, and a heart for the mission of God.
ACTIVATE believes evangelism cannot be learned only in a classroom. Participants will have frequent opportunities to engage in practical ministry, putting what they learn into practice.
Through outreach, personal evangelism, community engagement, mission opportunities, and other practical experiences, students will learn to share Christ, serve people, work with others, and minister in real-life situations.
We train them to go—and then give them opportunities to go.
Every ACTIVATE participant will have the opportunity to be connected with a mentor through the Barnabas Initiative.
Participants will be matched, as much as possible, with mentors who share a similar calling, ministry interest, or area of passion and who have significant experience in that field.
Through an intentional mentoring relationship, participants will receive guidance, encouragement, accountability, prayer, and practical wisdom from someone who has already walked the path they are beginning to pursue.
The goal is not simply to transfer knowledge, but to transfer wisdom, character, experience, and vision from one generation to another.
TRAIN → PRACTICE → MENTOR → GROW → SERVE → GO
ACTIVATE brings together structured training, hands-on ministry, and intentional mentoring to help young people discover their calling, develop their gifts, and become effective witnesses and leaders for Christ.
Our vision is to see a generation that is trained in the Word, active in the mission, mentored by experienced leaders, and prepared to carry the Gospel to their generation and to the nations.
This training equips participants with a firm foundation in Scripture, a lived pattern of discipleship, practical skill in evangelism and campus mission, and the theological and spiritual depth to think, live, and serve faithfully in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The curriculum is arranged into three progressive levels, moving from the foundation of the Word, to the outward mission of sharing Christ, to the inward depth of apologetics and spiritual formation. The program opens with a dedicated orientation session so that every participant begins with a shared understanding of the program's purpose, expectations, and format before the teaching content begins.
Total sessions - 31 (1 Orientation session + 30 topical lessons).
Frequency - Three classes each month.
Class duration - 45 minutes.
Estimated program length - About 10–11 months
