The four purposes are a joint vision, and the aspiration for all learners here at the school.
The school curriculum is everything that learners will experience in pursuit of the four purposes.
Curriculum Aims
Through a relevant, focused and dynamic curriculum, we aim to encourage a love of learning. We are committed to delivering an inspiring and challenging curriculum that reflects our community and meets the needs of every child. Our curriculum empowers children to build on their skills and knowledge and be motivated and challenged to learn and have high aspirations. At the heart of our inclusive curriculum lies our commitment to developing a positive mindset and relationships that are based on trust and mutual support, which create the conditions for them to prosper. Our curriculum will be based on developing independent and cooperative skills which will enable children to become moral thinkers and effective contributors to our local community and wider world.
Healthy, confident individuals
Intelligent, honest and confident individuals who display self-belief, self-esteem and have positive personal values.
Individuals who understand and display empathy towards others’ emotions and beliefs, and who value the importance of personal safety, good health and physical health as well as a balanced diet.
Individuals with an understanding of children's rights and personal responsibilities whilst demonstrating positive social skills, trust and mutual respect.
Ambitious, capable learners
Individuals who show resilience and embrace challenge. They will show positive attitudes towards all aspects of school life.
Individuals who persevere, who aim for high standards, whilst recognising that making mistakes leads to learning.
Individuals who are ambitious, who believe in their own ability and who appreciate that a positive effort and attitude to their learning is key to success.
Ethical, Informed Citizens
Individuals who, by experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, cultural and spiritual opportunities, become responsible citizens.
