Following the trial of new schemes this year, the importance of continuous evaluation was emphasised.
We use the HYDER system in order to evaluate and respond, to assess whether the work is sufficiently challenging and engaging and provides opportunities for pupils to deepen thinking. What is the impact of learning? Is there an opportunity for recall of information, role modelling and refinement of examination revision skills?
With the introduction of the Learner Subject Overview, the aim is to ensure that these schemes are work in progress and are adapted consistently in order to plan for pupils' continuous progress. It is important that the learner's voice is heard at a departmental, AoLE and school level. Schemes will be reviewed and amended on a termly basis.
