Whole School Approach
The curriculum is driven by four purposes, the foundation for every learning activity. We use a holistic approach, where all members of the school community contribute to individuals' development along the 11-16 continuum.
The Key Principles
We plan all experiences for our learners in order to deliver related opportunities to develop the four principles.
The needs of all pupils are central to all decisions made at every level.
All members of the school community share the responsibility and commitment to integrated education for learners.
Collaboration will be necessary in order to improve learning and deepen conceptual understanding.
Pedagogy: Planning Curriculum Delivery
Curriculum planning has started by developing first-class teaching and learning. The importance of Formative Assessment and Metacognition are highlighted in lessons with the growth mindset being central.
A Learner Subject Overview has been developed to ensure that work is progressively challenging and that a rich task is central to work within an unit. The learning experiences and experience of learning.
