Hwb - Welsh Government Website

Here at Ysgol Y Strade, we make frequent use of the Hwb website and the learning tools and resources that the Wels Government platform offers our learners.

Year 6 learners will keep the same user name and password from their primary school when they start in Ysgol Y Strade, and all the digital work completed in primary school will remain in their work folders.

Microsoft Teams

As a school, we use Microsoft Teams (which is available through Microsoft 365 on Hwb) for academic and pastoral (year group and from group) online classes.

Teams is used to share resources, tasks and messages with learners as well as to facilitate online meetings when required.

We would recommend that learners download the Teams mobile app to a personal device in order to receive notifications beyond the classroom.

Microsoft 365 is FREE to Learners

As the poster details, all learners in Wales can get FREE Microsoft Office and Minecraft Education Edition.

Parents do not need to buy this software or sign up to a monthly subscription when purchasing a new device for the home.
