Digital Professional Learning Offer
Developing digital competence as a cross-curricular skill within Curriculum for Wales (Primary and Secondary)
Target audience: Staff in all Primary and Secondary schools with responsibility for developing digital competence as a cross-curricular skill.
To support Primary and Secondary schools to implement the Digital Competence Framework across all areas of Curriculum for Wales. This will help ensure that learners develop their digital skills in line with the DCF and can use these skills appropriately across the curriculum to enhance their learning.
Understand the mandatory elements of developing digital competence as a cross-curricular skill.
Understand progression within the Digital Competence Framework.
Develop digital competence skills in and across the curriculum at a local level using resources provided by Partneriaeth and regional partners.
Provide learners with authentic opportunities to develop these digital skills where appropriate to enhance their learning.
Develop their own strategy to implement the management of the DCF across their school.

Keeping Safe Online
Target audience: School based colleagues with responsibility for leading on Online Safety and/or Safeguarding Officers.
Keeping Safe Online is a designed to support schools to ensure that online safety practices are as robust as possible.
Attendees will be aware of how to ensure a high level of digital resilience across all stakeholders.
Attendees will understand the 360 Safe Cymru framework and how it can help ensure a school’s online safety practices are as robust as possible.
Attendees will be aware of the latest online safety learning and teaching resources.
Attendees will be aware where further support can be accessed via local authority and regional colleagues as well as relevant external professional bodies.

Cracking the Code
Target audience: Primary and Secondary practitioners from all stages / settings
To support schools to develop coding skills in line with the Data and Computational Thinking strand of the Digital Competence Framework.
Delegates will engage with and have a better understanding of computational thinking and coding through the use of a programmable device. They will also have a range of practical coding strategies and resources to support the computational thinking aspect of the Digital Competence Framework.
Raise awareness of computational thinking and coding through use of a Micro:bit
Develop teacher confidence in coding with a Micro:bit.
Provide teachers with resources and activities to develop coding using the Micro:bit

An opportunity for practitioners to learn more about the latest developments in digital learning. Attendees move from session to session to listen to leading practitioners from across both the primary and secondary sectors.
