Pleser ydyw i groesawu eich plentyn i Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Llanilar. Yn yr ysgol hon bydd eich plentyn yn dod yn aelod o gymuned hapus, cartrefol, Cymreig sydd ag anghenion pob unigolyn wrth wraidd yr addysg. Rydym am weld pob plentyn yn datblygu i fod yn unigolyn annibynnol, hyderus sy’n barod i gyfrannu at gymuned yr ysgol. Mae gan bob disgybl ran allweddol i chwarae ym mywyd yr ysgol ac rydym yn falch i roi'r cyfleoedd yma iddynt. Mae ethos cryf o gefnogi ein gilydd ar draws yr ysgol ac mae hyn yn gosod y seiliau ar gyfer meithrin dinasyddion sydd yn parchu eraill. It is a pleasure for us to welcome your child to Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Llanilar. In Ysgol Llanilar your child will become part of a happy, homely, Welsh community that ensures the needs of each individual at the heart of the education. We want to see each child develop into an independent, confident individual who is ready to contribute to the school community. Every pupil has a integral part to play in the life of the school and we are proud to give them these opportunities. There is a strong ethos of supporting each other across the school and this lays the foundations for developing rounded citizens who respect others. All members of staff work together to provide interesting and relevant learning experiences to enable the children to develop and learn new skills that will support them in their aspirations.

Saif yr ysgol ar safle arbennig ynghanol pentref gwledig Llanilar, bum milltir i'r de o Aberystwyth. Adeiladwyd yr ysgol yn 1976. Cafodd estyniad yn 1999 a tho newydd yn ystod haf 2023. Mae 4 dosbarth yn yr ysgol. Mae iard chwarae y tu ôl i'r ysgol yn ogystal â chae chwarae mawr, parc antur, ardal dysgu allanol a Chaban y Ddraig.
The School's Location
The school is situated on a special site in the middle of the rural village of Llanilar, five miles south of Aberystwyth. The school was built in 1976. It had an extension in 1999 and a new roof in the summer of 2023. There are 4 classes in the school. There is a playground behind the school as well as a large playing field. , an adventure park, an outdoor learning area and the Dragon's Cabin.

Bydd disgyblion sy'n gadael Ysgol Llanilar fel arfer yn mynychu Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig, Ysgol Penglais neu Ysgol Henry Richard. Rhoddir cyfleoedd i’r plant ymweld â’r ysgol cyn eu trosglwyddo.

Derbyniadau Ysgol - Cyngor Sir Ceredigion
Children are admitted to the school following their fourth birthday. So, if four by
31 August will start the Autumn Term;
31 December for admission in the Spring Term;
31 March for admission in the Summer Term.
An invitation is extended to parents and the children to the school before their children start.
At the end of Year 6 pupils will transfer to the secondary school, and parents will be informed by the Local Authority about transfer arrangements. Pupils leaving Ysgol Llanilar will usually attend Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig, Ysgol Penglais or Ysgol Henry Richard. The children are given opportunities to visit the school before they are transferred.

Paratoi eich plentyn ar gyfer ysgol / Preparing your child for school
Wrth ddechrau’r ysgol, bydd eich plentyn yn cymryd un o gamau mwyaf ei (f)bywyd. Mae’n bwysig felly iddi(o) fod yn barod ac yn awyddus i gymryd y cam hwn. Dyma rai awgrymiadau yr hoffech efallai eu hystyried i ddarparu eich plentyn ar gyfer ei yrfa yn yr ysgol:
1. Siaradwch yn gadarnhaol â’ch plentyn ynglyn â’r ysgol.
2. Mae sgiliau cymdeithasol yn holl bwysig. Helpwch eich plentyn i fod yn gwrtais bob amser.
3. Helpwch eich plentyn i ddeall bod “na” yn golygu “na”.
4. Dysgwch eich plentyn i fod yn annibynnol drwy adael iddo wisgo a dadwisgo ei hunan.
5. Rhowch enw eich plentyn ar bob dilledyn os gwelwch yn dda a’i helpu i’w adnabod.
6. Annogwch eich plentyn i chwarae gyda teganau ac offer mân e.e. pensiliau, siswrn, clai a thoes, Lego.
7. Dysgwch eich plentyn i roi ei deganau ei hun heibio.
8. Dysgwch eich plentyn sut i ddefnyddio cyllell a fforc.
9. Bydd eich plentyn wedi cynhyrfu ac wedi blino ar ddiwedd y dydd. Byddwch yn amyneddgar ac edrychwch ymlaen at weld eich plentyn yn cynefino yn hapus yn ei amgylchfyd newydd.
When starting school, your child will be taking one of the biggest steps of his/her life and it is important that he/she is well prepared and eager to take this step. Here are a few points that you may consider which could help your child to be ready and happy to join full-time education:
1. Always talk to your child in a positive manner about the school.
2. Social skills are important. Help your child to learn the importance of good manners.
3. Help them to learn that “no” means “no”.
4. Teach your child to be independent by allowing them to dress and undress on their own.
5. Label each item of clothing and try to ensure that your child recognises his/her name.
6. Encourage activities involving small toys and objects e.g. arranging cutlery, drawing, writing, cutting with scissors, playing with dough, Lego,
7. Encourage your child to put away his/her own play things.
8. Teach your child to use a knife and fork.
9. Yours child is likely to be excited and tired at the beginning of his/ her school term. Be patient and look forward to seeing your child settle down happily in his/her new environment

Er mwyn bod yn rhan weithredol o fywyd yr ysgol fe’ch anogir i wneud y canlynol:-
1. Mynychu nosweithiau cymdeithasol y Gymdeithas Rhieni, Ffrindiau ac Athrawon.
2. Ymuno â phwyllgor y Gymdeithas Rhieni ac Athrawon.
3. Mynychu cyfarfodydd rhieni ac athrawon i drafod datblygiad eich plentyn.
5. Gofalu bod eich plentyn yn mwynhau gwrando ar storiau, yn darllen ac yn gwneud ei waith cartref.
Os ydych yn bryderus ynglyn â’ch plentyn yn yr ysgol ar unrhyw adeg cysylltwch gyda’r pennaeth ar unwaith. Mae drws agored i rieni bob amser.
In order for you to become an active member of school life, you are encouraged to do the following:-
1. Attend the social functions of the Parent Teacher Friends Association.
2. Join the Parent Teacher Association Committee.
3. Attend parents’ evenings to discuss your child’s progress.
5. Ensure that your child enjoys listening to stories, practices his/her reading and completes his/her homework.
If you are concerned about your child in school in any way do not hesitate to contact the Headteacher at any time. The door is always open to parents.

Os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiynau neu bryderon ynghylch y ddarpariaeth gwricwlaidd a gynigir mai croeso ichi roi gwybod i’r ysgol drwy gysylltu gyda’r athrawes ddosbarth â / neu'r Pennaeth. Ceisiwn ddatrys problemau rhesymol a godir wedi iddynt ddod ger ein bron ac o fewn ein gallu. Os teimlwch nad yw eich cwynion wedi eu datrys yna gallwch gymryd camau i wneud cwyn swyddogol i’r Corff Llywodraethol. Mae’r gweithdrefnau ar gyfer y broses ar gael yn yr Ysgol, gan bob aelod o’r Llywodraethwyr a’r Awdurdod Addysg Leol. Ceisiwn sicrhau datrys problemau ar lefel ysgol.
If you have any questions or concerns about the curricular provision offered, you are welcome to let the school know by contacting the class teacher and/or the Headteacher. We try to solve reasonable problems that are raised as soon as possible. If you feel that your complaints have not been resolved, then you can take steps to make an official complaint to the Governing Body. The procedures for the process are available in the School, from all members of the Governors and the Local Education Authority. We try to ensure that problems are solved at School level.
