Yn ogystal â hyn cymerir pob gofal i geisio sicrhau bod ein dysgwyr i gyd yn cael eu goruchwylio'n gywir mewn amgylchiadau iach a diogel drwy gydol y diwrnod ysgol. Ni chaiff disgyblion adael tir yr ysgol yn ystod y diwrnod heb ganiatâd ysgrifenedig rhiant neu warchodwr nac heb oedolyn cyfrifol i’w casglu. Gofynnir i rieni ein hysbysu pan fydd rhywun arall nad yw'r staff yn ei adnabod yn casglu disgybl o'r ysgol. Cedwir clwyd yr ysgol ar gau drwy'r amser ac ni chaiff nwyddau eu derbyn yn ystod amser chwarae. Gofynnir i bob ymwelydd arwyddo mewn wrth y brif fynedfa.

The school has a Health and Safety Policy which complies with the statutory legal requirements. In addition to this every care is taken to try to ensure that all our learners are properly supervised in healthy and safe circumstances throughout the school day. The school gate is kept closed at all times and goods are not accepted during playtime. All visitors sign in when entering the main entrance.
Pupils may not leave the school grounds during the day without the written permission of a parent or guardian or without a responsible adult to collect them. Parents are asked to inform us when someone else who the staff does not know collects a pupil from the school.
Every member of the School's staff has a responsibility to safeguard and protect the children in it. If there are concerns about neglect or physical, emotional or sexual abuse, then it is the duty of the staff, in accordance with the County's Child Safeguarding Procedure, to mention the matter to the School's Child Safeguarding Co-ordinator.
The school's Co-ordinator can consult with fellow professionals as well as relevant agencies such as Health and Social Services. Following these discussions, the School's co-ordinator may have to officially refer the child to the Social Services Department, in accordance with the county's guidelines and protocol. The Social Services Department decides whether action is necessary or not.
Because of the nature of the charges, it will not always be appropriate to discuss issues with the parents before referring the child. Social Services and the Police are responsible for investigating charges.
When a child makes an allegation against a family member or someone in the household, parental consent will not be sought by the school to make a referral to Ceredigion Social Services. The Department of Social Services and the Police will need to speak to the child as soon as possible if a crime is believed to have been committed.
The School's Child Protection Co-ordinator is the Headteacher.

Cymryd Gwyliau Teuluol Adeg Tymor / Holidays during term times
Ni chaiff unrhyw absenoldebau oblegid gwyliau adeg tymor eu hawdurdodi gan Benaethiaid a chant eu cofnodi fel rhai anawdurdodedig. Fel ysgol, rydym yn annog rhieni i beidio â chymryd gwyliau adeg tymor felly y gall plant elwa’n llawn o’r cyfleoedd y mae’r ysgol yn darparu.
No absences due to term time holidays will be authorised by Headteachers. This means that absences caused by pupils taking holidays during term time will be recorded as unauthorized. As a school, we encourage parents not to take holidays during term time so that children can benefit fully from the opportunities that the school provides.
Ymweliad Meddygol gan y nyrs neu ddeintydd / Visit from the nurse or dentist
Fe fydd disgyblion yn ymweld â’r nyrs ysgol yn ystod eu cyfnod yn yr ysgol. Yn ogystal bydd y deintydd ysgol yn ymweld o dro i dro fel rhan o'r cynllun sgrinio cyffredinol. Caiff rhieni eu hysbysu o'r ymweliadau hyn am nad ydynt yn orfodol, ond awgrymir yn gryf y dylai rhieni roi caniatâd ar gyfer yr ymweliadau hyn er lles pob disgybl.
Pupils will visit the school nurse during their time at school. In addition, the school dentist will visit from time to time as part of the general screening plan. Parents are informed of these visits as they are not compulsory, but it is strongly suggested that parents should give permission for these visits for the benefit of all pupils.
Cinio Ysgol / School lunches
Caiff prydau poeth eu coginio yn yr ysgol. O dan cynllun Llywodraeth Cymru, ers Medi 2023 mae pob disgybl hyd at Blwyddyn 6 yn cael cinio ysgol am ddim. Gall rheini sy'n gymwys i dderbyn cinio am ddim wneud cais i'r Adran Addysg yn Swyddfa'r Sir yn Aberystwyth. Caiff disgyblion ddod â brechdanau yn lle cinio ysgol ond rydym yn annog bocs bwydiach.
Hot meals are cooked in the school. Under the Welsh Government scheme, from September 2023 all pupils up to Year 6 get a free school lunch. Those who are eligible to receive a free lunch can apply to the Education Department at the County Office in Aberystwyth. Pupils can bring sandwiches instead of school lunch but we encourage a healthy lunch box.
Moddion / Medicine
Os yw disgybl yn derbyn moddion rhaid i’r rhieni, drwy drafod gyda meddyg, sicrhau bod y disgybl yn ddigon iach i ddychwelyd i'r ysgol tra ei fod yn parhau i gymryd moddion. Os oes angen i ddisgybl gymryd moddion yn ystod y diwrnod ysgol dylai rhieni arwyddo taflen ganiatad a threfnu iddynt gael eu cadw'n ddiogel gan yr athro neu athrawes ddosbarth, gan nodi enw a dosbarth y plentyn yn elgur ar y moddion.
If a pupil is receiving medication, the parents must, by discussing with a doctor, ensure that the pupil is healthy enough to return to school while he continues to take medication. If a pupil needs to take medicine during the school day, parents will need to fill in a permission form and should arrange for medicine to be kept safe by the class teacher, noting the child's name and class next to the medicine.
Canllawiau Tân / Fire Guidelines
Os digwydd tân cenir y larwm tân ac arweinir y disgyblion i fan penodedig gan yr athro neu athrawes ddosbarth lle y caiff y gofrestr ei galw. Bydd y disgyblion yn aros ar iard yr ysgol hyd nes y rhoir caniatâd gan y pennaeth iddynt fynd i mewn i'r ysgol. Mae'r staff a'r plant yn ymarfer dril tân unwaith y tymor.
If a fire occurs, the fire alarm is sounded and the pupils are led to a designated place by the class teacher where the register is called. The pupils will stay in the school yard until permission is given by the headteacher for them to enter the school. The staff and children practice a fire drill once a term.
Cau'r Ysgol mewn argyfwng / School closures in an emergency
Os digwydd tywydd garw yn ystod oriau ysgol gofynnir i rieni gasglu eu plant o'r ysgol cyn gynted â phosibl ac i beidio aros hyd ddiwedd y diwrnod ysgol. Gwneir pob ymdrech i gadw’r ysgol ar agor.
If bad weather occurs during school hours, parents are asked to collect their children from school as soon as possible and not to wait until the end of the school day. Every effort is made to keep the school open.
Tasgau dysgu cartref / Home learning tasks
Darllen yw’r brif flaenoriaeth o ran gwaith cartref a gofynnwn yn garedig am eich cefnogaeth wrth gynnig profiadau darllen eang i’ch plentyn. Fe fydd eich plentyn yn cael llyfr darllen i fynd adre yn rheolaidd (neu lythrennau os yn cychwyn darllen). Byddant yn derbyn Cofnod Darllen newydd er mwyn cofnodi eu darllen. Bydd y plant hefyd yn cael tasgau yn achlysurol yn deillio o’r Cofnod Darllen yma er mwyn cefnogi’r dysgu.
Reading is the main priority in terms of homework and we kindly ask for your support in offering your child wide reading experiences. Your child will get a reading book to take home regularly (or letters/words if they are starting to read). They will receive a new Reading Record to record their reading. The children will also occasionally be given tasks arising from this Reading Record in order to support the learning.
Gwasanaeth Boreol / Morning assembly
Mae gwasanaeth boreol yn rhoi cyfle i gyfoethogi bywyd ac awyrgylch gymunedol yr ysgol.
Morning service provides an opportunity to enrich the life and community atmosphere of the school.
