What is the Value of Studying History?

Unit 1 - Depression, War and Recovery, 1930 β 1951
You will learn about the developments in Britain before, during and after the Second World War.
Unit 2 β USA: Land of Differences, 1910 β 1929
You will learn about the 'Golden Age' of the USA, with themes such as crime, entertainment, religion and the economy.
Unit 3 β Changes in Crime and Punishment, around 1500 to the present day.
You will learn about types of crime and how they were caused, policed ββand punished.
Unit 4 β Non-Exam Assessment
Working as a historian: you will evaluate a variety of sources on a specific topic. At the moment, the work focuses on how Hitler came to power, and how life in Germany changed as a result.
Unit 1 β 1 hour exam (25%)
Unit 2 β 1 hour exam (25%)
Unit 3 β Examination 1 hour and 15 minutes (30%)
Unit 4 β Non-exam Assessment (20%)
