The aim of the project was for it to run for a three-week period, then showcase as a cluster at Bryn Hafod. Unfortunately, this could not go ahead as planned so instead we have been able to share the pupils’ presentations about the project on the project website. We have also regularly tweeted photographs of the project which allowed pupils to share with their parents..

It was planned to take place in the year six class starting on 8^th November 2021. The project was divided up as follows-

Week 1 - Designing

Week 2- Making

Week 3- Presentations/ Evaluations

The pupils were really engaged with the project, working collaboratively in groups. They demonstrated resilience and perseverance as at times they found the making element difficult due to the number of new skills involved. The end models were successful, including features such as solar panels and lighting circuits, living roof gardens and wind turbines. They are all really pleased with the results and have invited other classes in PS3 to come and take a look at them. We now plan to display them within the school.
