There is no nursery provision in the school, but each school has excellent links with the local Cylch Meithrin nurseries.

Your child will start school at the beginning of the term after they turn 4.
The school has a daily breakfast club. It starts at 8am and finishes at 8:30am.
School starts at 8:50am. Pupils can arrive on the school site from 8:30am (unless attending breakfast club).
School finishes at 15:10 for CC1 and at 15:15 for CC2 and CC3.
The school has an official school uniform. A link to the supplier can be found on the ‘Starting School’ section of this site. Pupils can wear their PE kit to school on the day of the lesson. Your teacher will inform you of when PE lessons take place.
School meals are available. You need to order through the County's Parent Pay system. You will receive information on how to create a Parent Pay account within the first two weeks of starting school. Your child will still receive lunch during this time.
Your child does not have to have lunch for the whole week or sandwiches for the whole week - you can choose which days. As a Healthy school we encourage a healthy lunchbox.
Pupils can bring a water bottle to school. As a Healthy School we kindly ask that pupils only bring water in their bottles.
Each child will receive the opportunity to attend school for some taster sessions before they start. There will also be an opportunity for parents to meet the class teacher and discuss any questions or concerns. If your child has additional learning needs, we will arrange a meeting to discuss your child’s needs and any provision required.
Attending school for a full day for the first time can be a big step for the children. However, children quickly become familiar with the structure of a school day. The school day provides plenty of varied activities, including time spent learning in the outdoors.
Your child will need a water bottle and a bag to carry spare clothes. Your child will have milk to drink during the day.
We ask you to write your child's name on everything that comes to the school.
You have taken the first important step of sending your child to Welsh-medium education, and we will support you every step of the way. It's not a problem if you don't speak Welsh at home - a high percentage of the children are from non-Welsh speaking homes. We 'immerse' the children in Welsh and make sure they hear and see the language at every opportunity.
At home, you can provide opportunities to hear the language through listening to Welsh songs and television programmes (please see links in the ‘Help for Parents and Pupils’ section of this site).
Homework and instructions in particular, will be given bilingually when possible and please ask if you are unsure of the meaning of something.
A consent form must be completed for the school to store and administer medication. For any long-term medication (eg asthma pumps) we request that a spare pump / medication is kept in school at all times. Please do not send medication in your child’s bag.
We use ParentPay as a communication tool for parents / carers as well as sending texts. The school also makes use of Instagram to celebrate our pupils' learning and achievements (details can be found in the ‘News’ section of this site).
