Gall anawsterau ymddygiadol, emosiynol a chymdeithasol ymddangos mewn sawl ffordd, gall y disgybl:
gael anhawster o ran creu perthynas a derbyn awdurdod neu gyfarwyddyd;
ei chael hi’n anodd rheoli teimladau, gan fynegi hyn mewn ffyrdd amhriodol a all achosi niwed i’w hunan neu eraill;
fod yn ymosodol yn gorfforol neu ar lafar;
niweidio eu hunan neu ddioddef o orbryder neu iselder;
fod yn swil neu yn amharod i gyfathrebu.

Social, emotional and behavioural needs can appear in a number of ways, such as:
difficulty in forming friendships and accepting authority or instructions.
difficulty in controlling and expressing emotions, sometimes expressing this inappropriately which could cause harm to themselves or others.
showing verbal or physical threatening behaviour.
self-harm, anxiety or depression.
shyness or lack of communication.
Other learning difficulties are often associated with these difficulties.
Consistency in reaction to difficult behaviour.
Avoid long and complex instructions.
Clear routines and expectations.
Opportunities to go to a quiet area when needed.
Praise and reward for good effort and behaviour.
Break tasks to smaller steps.
Avoid direct confrontations and give clear choices with time to process and make decisions.
