Land Acknowledgement
Hopewell Valley is on land of Lenapehoking, the ancestral territories of the Lenni-Lenape. We pay our respects to the original caretakers of this land, past, present, and future. We strive to better understand the histories of colonization that resulted in the forced removal of Lenape people from their homelands, support the rematriation of Native lands, and uplift the ongoing advocacy of Native people across our region.
Indigenous people across Turtle Island and the globe are on the frontlines of the climate and biodiversity crisis. They are also leaders in the fight to protect the land and water on which we all depend. Native people have developed systems of knowledge over many generations, demonstrating how humans can care for the land and live in balance with the natural world.
