Hutto Color Guard is an award winning organization of individuals who perform alongside the band in the fall and compete in an indoor competition circuit called Winter Guard. They are lead by director Kevin Monteiro who also choreographs and designs for the ensembles along side world class staff members that provide high quality instruction to every member. The strength of the guard program is foundational for the culture of the band program and has created opportunities for success for many, many students. This year, The Hutto Guard totals 58 members from 9th-12th grade. We are excited to see what Mr. Monteiro, The staff, and these hard working students accomplish this 2025-2026 academic year.
Some Successes of The Hutto Guard include winning Outstanding Color guard at the US Bands Central Texas Championship (2023). Hutto Junior Varsity Winter Guard was awarded area champions for two years in a row making them reigning champions of the JV regional A classification (2024-2025). Hutto Varsity Winter Guard was reclassified twice and remained undefeated throughout their TCGC season (2024), made WGI San Antonio finals (2024-2025), then proceeded to place 2nd at TCGC State Contest (2024).
