Human Capital revolves around the most important part of an organization--the people. And I believe, with all my heart, that Hutto ISD is comprised of the absolute best people.
As the Director of Human Capital, it is a blessing to serve Hippo Nation and the wonderful people that serve our district. I started in Hutto ISD as a brand new first year teacher in 2000 when there was one elementary school, one middle school, and a newly opened high school. That year, I was the only 7th grade Language Arts teacher in the district. As I think about us opening up the 3rd middle school in the 2024-25 school year, I can only think...My! How times have changed! I am proud of the work we have done as our district has stayed the course and aspired to stay ahead of the fast growth in this area.
It has truly been a privilege to watch Hutto change and grow while I also grew from that first year teacher to a team lead and department chair and then an instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. I loved each role I have served in and am grateful for the opportunity to impact the district on a larger scale in my current role in Human Resources.
I am here to help with career questions and guidance and more. I am always happy to chat via email or to schedule a time to meet in person.
Just reach out.

I am honored to work in the Talent Management and Personnel Support Department. I have worked in education for almost 20 years and have served in various roles, as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, campus administrator, and district administrator. I have loved every role and truly love supporting students and teachers! As the Strategic Staffing Specialist, I support the retention and recruitment of new teachers entering the profession.
I work to ensure our student teachers, clinical student teachers, residents, and student observers have the support they need to feel successful and feel like Hutto ISD is their future home.
I also have the privilege of working with our apprentices through our Registered Apprenticeship Program. It has been an honor seeing the growth in each of these individuals as they prepare for their future classrooms!
Never hesitate to reach out with any questions or needs you may have (jennifer.jasper@huttoisd.net)!

This is my 12th year serving Hippo Nation and my 19th year as an educator. I have served as a teacher, reading instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. I am now honored to serve alongside with the Talent Management Personnel Support team as a Certification Specialist.
In my role, I have the privilege of working with and supporting our teachers that are on the road to certification. It is so exciting to see and celebrate their learning and accomplishments over the course of the year.
The TMPS team also launched The Village Program, in which I coordinate an opportunity for 1st and 2nd year teachers to learn from retired teachers. Our retired teachers are having a blast growing our 1st and 2nd year teachers, and our new teachers have been soaking up all of the new strategies, tips, and tools being poured into them each month.
I am proud to serve Hippo Nation and feel fortunate to grow alongside educators and staff members that love what they do, support one another, and most importantly love to see our students shine. While Hutto continues to grow, I love how our community maintains a small-town feel.
If you have any questions or concerns, I am always happy to help in any way that I can.
