All orchestra students are encouraged to take weekly private lessons. Students can take them before school, during their orchestra class period, and after school (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Private lessons are one-on-one sessions where students get weekly personalized feedback from approved lesson teachers by the district. Studies show that children who take private lessons develop heightened sound processing, contributing to improved reading, language ability, and even higher IQ scores
In private lessons, students will learn:
Individualized practice plans focused on their strengths, challenges, and goals
Get direct, immediate help to learn how to correct errors and build stronger foundations
Gain confidence in performances
Stay motivated and inspired
Lesson rates are between $20-$50, depending on the instructor’s level of education, experience, and the length of the student’s lesson.
How do I pick my lesson time?
After you register for lessons, the private lesson instructor will contact you to arrange your child's weekly lesson time.
How do I pay the teacher?
You will pay the private lesson teacher directly. They will inform you of their rate (based on education and years of experience) and preferred payment method via email before starting lessons.
When do lessons start?
As soon as we receive your registration information and schedule your lesson, lessons can begin.
