Being a Puentista means being a leader – both in school and in the community. Due to our class’ inability to complete a class community service project during the school year, we will be completing a community service project during the summer. The goal this project is to create a print and digital Community Service Directory that can be used as a resource by students –including future Puentistas– who need help becoming involved in their community. The success of this project relies greatly on the class’ ability to perform a variety of activities so that our directory is diverse in its offering. In order to accomplish this, each Puentista will be required to complete 20 additional hours of community service in addition to completing the assignments below.

Community Service Video (3-5mins in length)
In addition to completing an additional 20 hours of service this summer, you are required to create an informational video about you and your community service. Your video must be filmed on location and edited to include relevant details about the service you provided. Required video footage includes:

· Service Provided,
· Location Features, and
· your favorite parts about performing your service.

Submitting Work:
1. Info Sheet: Due Monday, August 13th, 2018 no later than 10:00pm. Create a google doc and share your completed document with me at ishernandez@husd.us
2. Video: Completed videos must be uploaded to the following page: www.tinyurl.com/CSVProject no later than 10:00 pm on Monday, August 13th 2018. Videos submitted after this date will be considered late and will receive a 15% deduction each day it is late. Failure to complete any part of the assignment will jeopardize a student’s standing in our program next year.
