Rate 16 (sixteen) items on a scale of 1 to 16, 1 = makes/ would make you most happy and 16 = makes you least happy.
Be careful and avoid duplicating any of your ratings.
We will analyze the results in groups tomorrow.

4/12 Homework:

1. Visit the Philosophy Basics Website

2. Use the menu at the top to locate 1 individual philosopher who's philosophy on happiness matches (or is close to) yours.

3. Write a 1/2 page to a full page explaining how their philosophy is similar to yours.

4/13 Classwork:

Make a copy of Survey Results above
Conduct a data analysis as a group
Write 1 conclusion (What does the data reveal about our class & happiness) and 1 question.
Write it down on a piece of paper and turn in to Hernandez.

4 Philosophers Project

Use The Pursuit if Happiness website (link below) to complete the following:

1. Use the HISTORY OF HAPPINESS section to learn about 3 philosophers' views on happiness.

2. Of the 3 philosophers, choose one that holds a view that is most different than the one you did for HW 4/12.

3. Write a 1/2 page (you may use the same page as 4/12 HW) explaining how their philosophy is different compared to this one. Turn in Monday.

4/13 Homework (Due Monday 4/16)

In your writing groups, create a slideshow that explains 4 different philosopher's views on happiness.
One group member will FILE>MAKE A COPY of this template and share with group to help get you started. Also share with Mr. Hernandez
Each group member must create one informational slide that includes the following
- Name of the philosopher as the heading
- 1 image of the philosopher with a caption
- 3-5 bullet points summarizing the philosophical view on happiness. No copying and pasting!
- 1-2 important works created by the philosopher (must include year created if available)
- Aesthetically pleasing color scheme (no black text on red backgrounds, etc)
