World Book Day
As Mr Etheridge has mentioned, our World Book Day dress up happened on Friday 3rd March. Unlike other dress up days, this is not about raising money but increasing awareness of the importance of reading and sharing enjoyment of books. It was great to see so many pupils and staff getting involved and there were some truly sensational and inventive costumes on display.
Below are just a sample of the photos taken on the day.
Shared Read
On Wednesday 1st March, in conjunction with World Book day, we ran a shared read where pupils from different classes were mixed up and got to share a book of their choice with some of the other pupils. The aim of this was to allow older children to share their love of reading with the younger pupils and also support them in reading their own books.
It is always fantastic to see the older and younger pupils mixing and this was no exception. Some images from the shared read can be seen below.
