The Secondary School day begins at 8.00 with morning briefing in the Main Hall every Monday
Pupils arrive on site and wait in the playgrounds for morning 'lineup' which starts at 8.25am. Pupils line up in their form groups ready for registration, with each year group organised on a particular playground.
Uniform, makeup and equipment are checked every morning at lineup before pupils go to form rooms so that we can ensure they are fully prepared for their day of learning.
If pupils have assembly they are taken directly to the Exam Hall from lineup and registered on the playground. Assemblies for each year group take place on a different day starting with year 11 on Monday and working through to year 7 on Friday.
Form Time is a 30 minute lesson with a key focus on Theme of the Fortnight (TOTF)
Pupils then follow their individual timetables for the remainder of the day, attending five 60 minute lessons.
At Break and Lunch time pupils have designated year areas for their social time and all are welcome to use the canteen.
At the end of the day, 2.45pm, period 5 teachers escort their classes to the playground for afternoon lineup. Here pupils are collected if they have after school intervention or detentions before the year group is dismissed.
Staff will support duties until 3.10pm, unless they are supervising detentions or leading intervention sessions
